Who we are

Christchurch (Methodist/United Reformed Church)

Located on Needham Market High Street, next to the public car park, Christchurch is well placed to serve the local community.

As a joint Methodist and United Reformed Church (URC), we rejoice in the legacies of both denominations and their traditions, whilst also seeking God’s will for our present and our future.

The main focus of our week is Sunday morning worship, when we worship God, Father, Son and Spirit, engaging all our senses, in ways which are relaxed, yet dignified, using both traditional and contemporary hymns and songs, drama and discussion, alongside Bible readings, sermons and the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism.

We have provision for children on Sunday mornings with a dedicated team of leaders and helpers.

During the week the building is very well used by community groups and by church groups.

The Notice board situated outside the church on the High Street will inform you of many regular and one-off events. Currently these include Weight Watchers, Karate, a Barber-Shop Choir, Scrabble Club, Tiddlers (Toddler group), Coffee Mornings and Women’s Fellowship.

We work with other Christian Churches in Needham Market, and welcome the Quakers each Sunday morning when they meet in the Halls.

We hope you will find a warm welcome at Christchurch and look forward to seeing you.
